We booked two rooms for two nights at this hotel to rest after an eight-hour drive with our elderly parents, as we were in town to attend a family member’s funeral. Unfortunately, our experience was far from restful. We were abruptly woken at 5 a.m. by a loud truck emptying metal garbage bins in the parking lot, followed shortly by construction noise from the neighboring property. The owner has given up on the up on their Hotel. We took the time and energy to share our concerns with the front desk, the manager and director to only hear their response "Its a less expensive hotel for a reason". The baseline issue was finding that the electrical outlet beside the bed did not have a protective cover on it making it extremely unsafe and negligent on the hotel itself. We are shocked that this hotel is even approved with By-Law. There are many other factors that set this hotel at a 1-star and we listed them ... read more
