All I did was ask if he could check if the room I was about to book on Priceline was a valid room, because in the past I had bought rooms on Priceline and the hotel said they didn’t have the rooms available. I mentioned $80 for the room because that’s what Priceline was asking for, he proceeded to say, “$80? No just leave.” Straight like that. I was like “what?” He’s like “get out”. Booked full despite online claims that they had a room for us.
If this hotel had not been booked by my corporate travel agency, I never would have even checked in. The lobby was threatening and old -- there were signs everywhere stating "charge for early check-in, charge for late check-out, charge for smoking, etc) and the reception desk was half covered by a flimsy plastic barrier. The awards that this hotel had won, back in the mid 20-teens were prominently displayed, but they were clearly trophies from another era. Got off work didn't feel like driving back
I recently stayed at the Days Inn by Wyndham Fremont and had a pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located near major highways and public transportation, making it easy to get around. There are also plenty of restaurants and shopping options nearby, which was a plus. The check-in process was smooth, and the front desk staff was friendly. My room was clean and equipped with useful amenities like a microwave, refrigerator, and a good selection of TV channels. The bed was comfortable too.
