We stayed here because of the great ratings. I’m a bit disappointed, but despite being outdated, it does seem like they are making updates and seemed to be clean. Served its purpose. I didn’t feel unsafe. It’s very close to a lot of things. The desk personnel were very pleasant. The room smelled like stale smoke. (To be fair, I didn’t check for smoking/nonsmoking if that’s still a thing.) The walls are paper thin. We could hear the TV from the other room late. For what it is, this hotel is five stars for me. The rooms seem recently renovated and well thought out. Quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is basic but fine. Check in and check out were easy and staff was nice. Location works if you're trying to go to UVA. For a basic place to sleep, this is a good find.

Rooms are nice and clean, the staff is friendly. Walking distance from fast food and convenience stores. (Food lion too) Centrally located, has its own stop light to help with getting into traffic. Continental breakfast isn't much of a breakfast, however the waffles are good. Other guests can get quite a bit noisy, but you can't control grown adults LOL Also lots of traffic noise, but what can you expect for being right on 29?
