Hôtel très mal entretenu, le personnel parle très peu anglais et des demande simple tel que avoir une serviette semble les déranger
Given the reasonable prices - other hotels we were looking at were over twice as much - this hotel definitely deserves 5 stars especially as it has a solid free breakfast. The hotel and rooms are a bit dated, but clean and friendly and helpful staff. Yes, if the hotel cost $100 more it would only merit 4 stars, and over that probably only 3 stars. But, overall quality for price was probably better than anywhere else in Maine.
There was a smell that hits you in the throat and chokes you. I don’t know what it is, maybe urine or old carpet, or mold, or smoke. The room was very filthy. Mold in the shower, hair and stains on the bed, splatter of ?? on the walls, debris in the corner of the bathroom floors. Absolutely filthy and disgusting. Worst I’ve ever seen. Bed bugs. At first we were given the room key to an occupied room, and had to endure waking up a guest in the middle of the night. The guy at the front desk laughed about it. Seriously the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever been to in my life. Checked out immediately even though it was 2am and we were sleep deprived.
Check in was easy. Staff was pleasant and the room was clean. Stayed a few days with no issues. Definitely recommend this hotel when in Augusta.
