I’ve never experienced a practice operate this way. I was required to attend three separate appointments just to be considered an active patient and receive a basic medication prescription. I’m extremely frustrated with how my care was handled. My refill for desvenlafaxine was denied because I “needed an appointment,” yet no one from the office contacted me to schedule one or even gave me a reminder that I was due. My last visit was in December—over six months ago—and I’m somehow expected to just remember that on my own? A case manager here showed to be such an un-compassionate person. Working with a vulnerable population, you should not take part in causing patients more trauma. She was unclear with discharge plans while this shock came to the patient’s attention, she told the patient they could “k!ll themself anywhere” and was actively convincing said patient against readmitting their self for safety concerns.
