Day 1 Mortgage made buying our home so easy. Our loan consultant was Marla and she was fantastic to work with. Anytime my wife and I had a question or were unsure of something we could get in touch and she was extremely responsive and helped us understand the process as first time home buyers. If we ever had the need to buy a new home down the line in the future I wouldn't hesitate to give them a call.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Tried working with Day 1 Mortgage to get a loan and took our business elsewhere. Julie Short was unresponsive. I regularly reached out to her and rarely received responses, which eventually turned into her essentially “ghosting” us. When she did initially work with us, we were asked to fill out things we already had filled out for her, almost as if she was not on top of her responsibilities, overwhelmed, did not value us as clients, or did not think we were worth the time. Marla Mikhail was very helpful and responsive. She was able to answer every question that we threw at her. The whole process was easy, and we were kept informed the whole way. She was all the things you want in a loan officer.
