Personally I would not recommend highly unprofessional!! Kathy has no issues being extremely rude and shady. Don't count on your deposit back there excuse is it goes to office fees for a new tenant. They make you give account information for rent payments and don't take it then try to come back on you and say it was late even if you remind them several times its available. I lived in Heavner Properties Michigan St. house for 3 years while attending Ferris State. The property was always well maintained, and our house was quiet and good for studying. I believe that Kathy and Larry choose their tenants carefully to provide a quiet house for students who are serious about school. Anything wrong with the apartment was fixed quickly by the maintenance men. They are always looking for ways to improve the house. Not family friendly
My husband used DawgHouse properties for two years and I used them for a year. Tony and Larry were amazing for anything maintenance related (like when the furnace on our blower went out Thanksgiving weekend and they were there in 20 minutes) and Cathy was always responsive to anything I had questions on. The pricing was very fair and I had no major complaints for renting through them. The only downfall I saw was they don't allow pets. Cathy is terrible about accomodations. I have an emotional support animal; basically a prescription for my dog from my doctor because of a illness that I have. I am currently going through the Fair Housing Act to defend my rights as a tenant and she will not stand down. I have provided her with all necessary information that she needs to accept that I have this dog for a legitimate purpose.
