Take my sister for her first session of dialysis. Told not enough staff. Have to come back when called. Nothing like be blindsided. Way to care for patients DaVita. Not a good first impression.
The nurses and supporting staff are fantastic! Caring, funny, compassionate, professional - they do a great job! Not sure about the clinic/corporate management. The clinic has previously-refurbished dialysis machines, which work well when they're working. Just seems like there are machines offline and in need of maintenance/repair just about every time I'm there. This is purely a management issue, NOT a working staff issue! Again, the nurses and support staff are great. Management needs to step up and upgrade the equipment!!
Lack of operational center leadership. Extreme high turnover ratio which coincides with experience. Does NOT meet or exceed my expectations. The reply/response is typical and a very “canned” non-human like retort. I’m a retired veteran to which the Davita Veteran “team” has already reached out to me several times. Twice this week they have tried to take more off than they should, causing my blood pressure to drop too low. I'm a new, temporary hemo patient but they look to me for input on how much to take off, when I've never done this before. They need staff that reads charts and inputs information into charts, like 2.5 is too much for this patient.
