We had a phenomenal time at Davio’s this weekend. Greg was warm, attentive and gave great recommendations. I usually take a bite or two of the bread so as not to fill up but the cheese popovers are so delicious that we ate the whole thing (and I regret nothing). Their signature spring rolls are delicious and interesting (the Philly cheesesteak ones are particularly exciting). We’ve eaten here before and had better food / experience. Last night though was meh for a nearly $800 tab. The service was good but the pasta was not good, the $30 tuna tartare was fishy and heavily salted. Oysters Rockefeller were great, the steak and lobster were ok, not great but the risotto underneath was great. Overall just too expensive and ok food and drink for the price point.
