Davies Tax Advisors took a $1200 fee to file taxes, took all banking and P&L statements, did not file, charged me $600 and asked to refund the rest. I told them I needed my taxes filed or I needed a full refund and they said they have used this money to get IRS records (I did it in less than 15 minutes) and for the charges for their time to attempt to refund me. Now does that sound like a good reputable company? Obviously, if I did not need tax filing prep, I would not have contacted them. So how are they going to tell me I ... read more

Our experience has been 'meh' trending negative. Our tax advisor, Jeannine, misread a Vanguard 1099 which thankfully we caught before the taxes were filed (would have resulted in a $1k underpayment) and doesn't timely respond to emails, including a basic request to complete an accredited investor form. The value doesn't seem to be there either: spending $500 for estimated tax prep and $1,275 for low-medium personal tax complexity when they aren't responsive and are making errors is concerning, especially when we're the ones ... read more
