good work, but didn't confirm before doing it – I have to agree with the other reviews. My friends recommended David Word and many have known him for years. They all told me great stories of service. Not sure what has happened there, but my experience was different. I took my car in for a few issues and called a few days later (they never called me) to have them tell me that "it's done." Since I didn't approve any repairs, I was a little shocked. $150 later and now I'm done. Why wouldn't they call to ask to approve repairs? ... read more

Avoid this place if you're a woman, especially. Condescending, will rip you off and insensitive! – I'd been going to David Word Auto for over a year. They just lost one of their loyal customers today. I made an appt. for an oil change, state inspection, tire rotation & balance and air filter change. I also asked them to check fluids, belts and hoses. When I dropped my car off, I asked them to call me if anything unexpected came up as well as when it was ready to be picked up. Most dishonest repair shop in Richmond – This shop is not very honest. The owner does not mind performing unnecessary work and charging a premium price for it. Every time I get work done there I have to return up to four times to get it fixed right. David Word is a smooth talker...too smooth for me. Try Twin Star, they do a much better job..
