i believe that your initial appointment is more stressful than an ordinary dental appointment. more is seriously wrong to warrant a visit to this dentist. and we do come with expectations of reassurances for our decision. everyone brings a separate expectation to the appointments initially. it took me a few times to finally realize how thorough and attentive he was. now my expectations have been met and i am comfortable and confident seeing him. he's been compassionate and responsive to my concerns and i think the world of h... read more

I am thankful that I was referred to Dr. Engen for an extraction, bone graft and dental implant. I found him and his staff to be very personable, informative and professional. He followed up on my extraction and bone graft with a phone call. I believe him to be an excellent periodontist who has integrity.

Dr. Hahn did some gum grafting on me and it was literally one of easiest things I have ever had done teeth wise. I had put it off with other people's stories but Dr. Hahn and the entire staff made is simple, straightforward and relatively painless! I know everyone has different stories but I only had to take ibuprofen one time after my grafting and will recommend Dr. Hahn to everyone I know!

Dr. Engens office was very courteous and thorough on explaining the costs and how the whole process would take place. It is not a quick fix but the results are well work it and I'll never have to worry about that tooth having a problem. I am currently waiting for a crown to be placed on the cap Dr. Engen placed in July (He also did a bone graft in a spot that had a tooth missing for 40ish years) Sometimes I even forget it's just a cap and chew with it and haven't had any problems.

Dr. Engen has treated my dental needs for many years now, with the most recent orthodontic procedure, and has done an outstanding job. He treated me with respect, honesty, and a personal touch every time I saw him. His skills are superior which provided me with a lasting smile in my old age. I definitely will refer all of my friends to him from now on.

Dr. Engen was not sociable. The nurse that performed the root planing didn't talk much either. She didn't give me any clue as to what she was doing and more than once walked away without saying a word. meanwhile I had a bite blocker wedged as far back in my mouth as she could get it. It was painful! When I complained about the pain I was told to take ibuprofen. Oh, and they don't prescribe pain relief medications for at home!! Not impressed at all!

He was amazing. Calm, gentle ,thorough and an excellent chair side manner. He spent a lot of time with me, explaining the procedure and guiding me towards the correct decision wo ever forcing his desire onto me. He gave me choices, and explained them at length. If there were more stars I’d give him a 10 star!
