My main responsibility is to take care of patients. This begins in my office visits with a clear focus on listening and talking to the patient before then formulating a strategy for diagnosis and treatment. This might range anywhere from kind reassurance to sophisticated diagnostic testing and procedures. All care is individualized, and I strive to be compassionate and thorough. My special interests and expertise also lie in a variety of cardiac imaging modalities which I use for diagnosis, followup and treatment of a wide r... read more

Dr. Axline is a cardiologist he is also biased and arrogant. I have a very complex heart history with a pacemaker that is set at one setting and should never go below. I had a few appointments before coming in for hospital evaluation and was asked (why) more than one time. Dr. Axline sated to the RN is this even cardiac or anxiety... I am female for some context. He was visually annoyed by my situation. His cardiology team that he works with are much nicer than Dr. Axline.
He examined me and a month later went into heart arrest. Doctors at NCH Couldn’t believe he couldn’t hear problem. He tried to correct the problem by use of stents. Doctors that attempted the procedure complained he was a idiot. Had to have three way bypass, thankfully not by him. Nice guy, but not a heart doctor.
10 yrs of care with DR AXLINE . One of the best in the field , have had multiple issues with great resolution . Great listener and top notch professional
I HAD A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT WITH DR AXLINE AT 9AM 16 NOV '21 AT THE NCH HEART INSTITUTE. I ARRIVED ON TIME AT 8:50, QUICKLY MET WITH THE NURSE AND WAS ESCORTED TO THE EXAM ROOM. AT 9:34 AM, AFTER SITTING ALONE FOR 30 MINUTES WAITING, I WENT TO THE CHECK OUT DESK, AND ASKED THE DESK PERSON TO CALL ME WHEN THE DR WAS READY TO SEE ME AND CHECKED OUT THROUGH THE CHECK OUT DESK. TWO WEEKS BEFORE I NEEDED A MEDICAL CLEARANCE TO UNDERGO A DENTAL PROCEDURE. AFTER A WEEK OF CALLING BY THE DENTAL OFFICE AND MYSELF, WE RECEIVED THE C... read more
DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WELL------------PROBABLY VERY COMPETENT, BUT NEEDS TO WORK ON VERBAL COMMUNICATIONS. OFFICE MUST BE VERY BUSY, BECAUSE IT IS DIFFICULT TO TALK TO SOMEONE WHO CAN ANSWER QUESTIONS WITHOUT A LONGER DELAY THAN IS NECESSARY
Very aloof. Treated me like I was fabricating my symptoms.
good initial visit... scheduled appt a year from now gives me time to think about the questions I would have asked, but didn't.. at age 93, I do have cardio questions and will call to talk with his nurse, soon, to ask her advice about another appointment.
Been a patient of Dr Axline for three years for SVT. And now high blood pressure. Am very happy with him as he treats me as an intelligent senior woman who deserves to know the details of her condition.
We were fortunate to have been connected with Dr. Axline due to a pre-op abnormality. He presents himself very professionally, seems to listen well, synthesizes a patient's info/health history quickly and willingly answers probing questions from the patient. He offered good explanations for his testing recommendations. The follow-through of Dr. Axline and his nursing staff were very good. We felt very comfortable with him and highly recommend him as a cardiologist.
