Dr. Vise, great! His new office receptionist — impossible! I was very pleased with Dr. Vise's vision care when I went to see him in Santa Fe. I looked forward to the Albuquerque move as I have moved to ABQ and had gone up to Santa Fe to stay with Acoma and a doctor I liked in the past. This would be much easier now! However, in trying to make an appointment with his ABQ receptionist I ran up against a brick wall with this woman making it very difficult to simply make an appointment and asking questions about my vision ... read more

I found Dr David Vise to be informative, honest and pleasant, I got the perfect prescription for glasses which he provided that were/are perfect for me, and improve my vision to the point where I say to myself; wow these are great, every time I remember to wear them!!
Dr. Vise is mediocre at best. More than his lousy 'bedside' manner - he did a crappy job refracting my left eye - so much so, I asked for my money back - and will go elsewhere. As for his manner, I asked him a question - twice - he simply ignored me, twice.
I, too, was given the wrong prescription...twice. On my second visit, for the re-check, he appeared very indignant because I was questioning the prescription. I felt he was not listening to me or my questions. I went to another Doctor for a second opinion and it was confirmed that Dr. Vise's prescription was, in fact, stronger than I needed. Just like I was trying to tell Dr. Vise, to no avail.
I was misdiagnosed, given an incorrect lens prescription and treated very rudely when I asked for clarification.
Great optometrist, gave me the best eye exam ever. Found a way to fix a double vision issue I have struggled with for over 40 years.
