#1 in his class from the U. of Michigan and it shows. Over the years he has filled cavities, done a few crowns and one root canal. Pain was always minimal and he has always been available on short notice for emergencies. I have never had to have a procedure repeated and his staff is equally professional. I would highly recommend him to someone looking for the best possible dentist.
Dr. Hartman is fantastic and his dental hygenists are great too! I had never had a cavity before and was terrified (mostly of the novicane injection). They really put me at ease and had an ipod for me to listen to during the procedure so I didn't hear the drilling sound. Recently, I had to switch dentists because of an insurance change and Dr. Hartman didn't take the new insurance (I was so sad). I went to the new dentist and she told me I had TWO cavities!! A very personable, family-friendly practice, with the best hygienists I have had anywhere. Everyone is very friendly, and although (someone noted) the front-desk clerk can be a little stern, she's not unfriendly. When I had to have an expensie dental procedure, Dr. Hartman laid out all of the options in detail -- both the cost and the expected outcome. (His recommendation was not the cheapest, but I was able to make my own decision about it.)
I couldn't believe how through Dr. Hartman and his staff were with me. From my first phone call everything was explained to me. I needed an implant on my front tooth, and venners to improve my smile. Dr. Hartman made temporary veneers that my friends thought were the finished product! About 3 weeks later I had the real ones, and wow, what a difference! My implant looks and feels like a real tooth, and I love my smile.
I do not like this orthodontist. Yeah, he's cheap, but I reccomend Dr. Reed much more. 2 stars overall.
Dr. Hartman is most likely the best dentist who has helped me care for my teeth. He is incredibly skilled in all aspects of his profession as well as being a perfectionist - which is a good thing when your oral hygene is involved! His staff is very well trained, helpful and caring, from the receptionist who greets when you walk through the door, to the hygenists, to the assistant and of course, Dr. Hartman, himself. The doctor and his staff were awesome. My first appointment was great! They didn't clean my teeth, which I at first didn't like. But when I realized they did such a thorough check up and spent time with me, I was glad. I was missing a tooth, and the dentist talked to me about implants and showed me models. I had a very dark tooth next to the missing one. He said a veneer would make everything match. Everything went as planned and looks great!!
Front desk clerk not the friendliest. Often hard to reach (won't answer phone during office hours--which throws you to a machine). Excellent results and very kind and efficient assistants. Would recommend him hands down.
