My approach starts with listening to patients, asking questions and doing a careful neurological examination. I spend a minimum of 40 minutes with a new patient, never double booking, so I can give my patients my complete attention. If a test such as an MRI is needed, I often can arrange for it to be done the same day. All tests results will be called personally by me to the patient with results being faxed to their referring physicians. My patients know that I am available when needed.

I went to this neurologist when I was a teenager in high school when I first started noticing strange symptoms that made me feel disoriented and ill. My mother and I visited this doctor and were told this was a low blood sugar issue and nothing more after months of issues. We accepted at the time that nothing was wrong because we trusted a doctor’s opinion but the symptoms continued to occur. After 5 years of consistent problems I went to a different neurologist and was immediately diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy which... read more
Dr. Podwall worked with me for quite some time while trying to diagnose and treat a rare condition that was depriving me of my quality of life. He is intelligent, talented, kind, and truly cares about his patients. He truly stands out thanks to his persistence and confidence to collaborate with other doctors and specialists. He set me on the path that got me back my life, and I am forever grateful.
Dr. Podwall displayed genuine concern; exam was thorough (not rushed); answered all questions in a pleasant manner. Even gave of his time to educate & prepare me re my neurological issue. I am greatly relieved to have been directed to him for care.
Dr. Podwall is very rude, nasty and has a temper. He has done nothing to help me all the times I had gone to him and never had an answer to any question. All he said was that he does not know! He and his secretaries never have ever gotten back to me when i left messages. What kind of a doctor is this??? A lousy one and a waste of time.
I have been a patient of Dr Podwal several years. He is knowledgeable attentive, friendly. He never rushes my visits as took the time to introduce me to his nurse Heater who is also wonderful!
Brushed off my concerns during the visit, had me do exercises at home. When I stressed again during a follow up visit that the issue was not going away and that I felt it was something more, he sighed and asked if I wanted an MRI. Trust your gut, the MRI revealed more than I could have imagined. He left the results on my cell phone. What doctor does that.
I would highly recommend Dr. Podwall if you are looking for a great neurologist. He is very thorough and compassionate. He takes his time with you and makes sure to answer all of your questions. I was also impressed with how he had me tested the same day to pinpoint the problem and rule out anything else. He then called the the next day with the results. Thank you Dr. Podwall!
