I went to Dr. David Penner during the pandemic seeking help to taper off my antidepressants. He assured me he would assist — but only after I completed his TMS treatment. Throughout the treatment I reported it wasn’t helping. I even suggested it might make more sense to first taper off the medication so I could gauge its true effect. I went and was feeling better and I said that often. The feeling better stopped when they used the bilateral. Then I suddenly felt very depressed. I asked and begged to stop using the bilateral side and instead since my "numbers" showed a plateau and no concrete date change on the QR9 they refused to treat me. Now I'm stuck with worse depression. All I asked for was to just do the left side only. Obviously it doesn't matter what the patient feels or thinks of their own body. The QR9 only matters.
