a colleague at work referred me to Dr. Momtaheni, for a difficult extraction - the work was surprisingly painless, and recovery was quicker than I'd anticipated - I was feeling close to normal, the day after the procedure
He is the best oral surgeon that you can find. Very professional, experienced and innovative. I have referred many patients to him over the years after being very satisfied with his work. He is quite expensive, but don't forget that its Midtown Manhattan, and he is a Harvard graduate. He is worth every penny.
Teeth removal, cost A LOT!!! Does not work with any insurance companies so you will not receive the maximum benefits reimbursement. I questioned if the assistants even knew what they're doing. No help from the desk staff with getting your claim filed with insurance. The Dr. listened and did a good job with the removal of the teeth, but just cost soooo much!
I have had wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Momtaheni as well as the bone-part of the implant procedure. He is extraordinarily competent, totally professional, makes sure the patient is pain free at all times, gives extremely specific post-procedure instructions and is meticulous almost to a fault. He is patient, answers all questions in language the lay person can understand and maintains a book of "before" and "after" photos of maxilofacial procedures he has done. I recall it every time I try and eat a steak. Let me add that whether this was the result of a misunderstanding, miscommunication, or incompetence is not an issue. People make mistakes.
