We had Mize recommended to us by family, for procedures my husband needed and unfortunately we did not receive a similar level of care or professionalism as what had been described to us. When my husband was taken to recovery, the staff discussed procedure results and post-care instructions with him while he was still waking up from anesthesia. I’ve never ever had and MD physically turn their back to me and walk out of a room while I was speaking to them. I asked two questions to him when I woke up when he came to chat after my procedure-easy quick to answer questions. As he answered the second he literally pulled the curtain and walked away as he gave me a short snappy answer. Stay away. Rushes through the procedure. Can’t find anything even when the patient is in terrible pain. Treats people like an assembly line. Doesn’t explain anything told me to “ google it “. People die because of doctors like him.
So far Dr MIZE has been a BIG HELP ... stepping up, getting Tom on a medication to help get him prepped for a necessary colonoscopy...to find out where he might be bleeding inside. Unlike his fellow doctor ROBERT ANDREWS who could care less that he ws SEVERALLY low on iron AND ANEMIC! AND THE ONLY THING HE COULD DO WAS ACCUSE HIM OF CONTINUING TO EAT WHAT HE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO DURING HIS PREP TIME!
Dr. David Mize listened and worked to understand my gut pain and path to health. He helped me navigate chronic pain to a place where I functioned and thrived. Unfortunately, I had to move out of the area. By then he had significantly helped me, and he had the best office staff. He is direct and supportive and made me feel comfortable addressing my issues with him so he could get a full picture for the best treatment plan.
