I went to Dr. D. Macknet for a hammer toe, 2nd toe on my left foot. He mentioned a screw but not a definate solution. Well he went with a long screw and excision of some bone. I made the mistake of putting on ankle slacks and when I removed them it unwrapped the outer bandaging. Now I had just another white wrapping. That was torn up with the velcro on the post-surgical
I love Dr Macknet at Ortho Carolina! He performed a total ankle replacement on me in Dec 2024. It has greatly improved my quality of life. I highly recommend him for this surgery. Danielle is also awesome! I see her for my check ups on the ankle. She is also very knowledge able about this type of surgery. If anyone has any doubts about getting a total ankle replacement, please don't hesitate for Dr Macknet to preform this operation. I have had zero problems.
