He is terrified of giving you pain meds. My back is worse after surgery and he refuses to believe me.
Very unprofessional ??
Dr. Weitman did my first back surgery in 2013. When I found out I had to have another back surgery, there was no other Dr. that I would have do it, except for Dr. Weitman. He knows his stuff and he is the best around.
No bedside manner and a complete jerk. Very lazy and sends info to patients dr to read as he is above that apparently. Good surgeon, but absolutely no people skills and does nothing to make patients feel better. Or provide any kind of useful info whatsoever. The basic fundamentals of dr and patient communication is lost with this dude.
After telling the parents of a very sick child that the treatment they chose to go with was signing her death warrant, because he wouldn’t do it. And having a melt down in front of his peers I wouldn’t want him taking care of anyone,s child . Very unprofessional.
After having severe pain in my head in 2003 Doctor Weitman performed brain surgery. I found him to be a wonderful surgeon. After surgery he did not just pass me on to another doctor. He was available when I needed him, listened to me, was very pleasant and caring. Couldn't have asked for better.
Dr. Weitman is a seasoned practitioner with about 20 years of experience on spine surgery and his reputation is solidly established in the greater Bangor area. Another key factor in my selection was that he had more than seven years of practice in minimally invasive surgery. My intervention went exactly as planned. I could not believe that, once awake, I was able to get up and walk (carefully). After discharge formalities , I was on my way home, only 3½ hours after completion of surgery.
