From the moment I walked in this place I felt the level of negativity in this building starting with the FRONT DESK !!!! their so unfriendly they looked at me as if i wasn't supposed to be in their.....also I was asked to present my HEALTH CARD, when I gave them my VISION card which was on PAPER because I had not gotten my hard copy in the MAIL yet I did provide them what I was told to bring PRIOR , the FRONT DESK assumed I did not have insurance or as If I was presenting her with a FAKE paper ID CARD....all she had to do wa... read more

My Vision is Now Great! For the past 18 months I have been a patient of Dr. John Wood of Chapel Hill Ophthalmology Clinic (110 Conner Dr. STE 2, Chapel Hill, NC, 27514) specializing in medical, optical, and surgical eye care. You don't know how bad your vision has gotten until it is corrected. I didn't. Dr. Wood tried to tell me for many months that I had a cataract in each eye. The front desk is very rude.If you get a appointment be sure to make your whole day clear because it will take hours for even the simplest procedures to be accomplished. I don’t understand why the staff treats people so badly. It’s unbelievable the way they talk to you.

I have been going to this practice for several years, but unfortunately, the front desk staff are some of the most unfriendly and unhelpful customer-facing employees I have encountered. They would greatly benefit from extensive training in customer service and satisfaction. While Dr. Haas is competent, I will be switching to a different practice where appointments are easier to schedule, and where appointments made months in advance are not suddenly canceled or rescheduled without offering comparable alternatives.
