Was clearly once a great practice but has lost decency and competency. Dr Wood has become rude and unavailable, lacking bedside manner and common decency while speaking with patients. I attended an appointment as a caregiver and Dr Wood interrupted the patient several times while she was expressing her own concerns after she had taken a bad fall. He left the room abruptly at the “end” of the appointment without any indication to us that the appointment was over. He just walked out at the end of a sentence. His assistant then... read more
Constantly overbooked, and zero respect for you and your time. Rude receptionist and we had to cancel our appointments because they weren't going to see us for at least 40 minutes past our appointment time. I was also told this was "expected" so they are well aware they are over booking.
On the eyeglasses side, very helpful. On the ophthalmology side, extremely disorganized, slow, prepare to wait and maybe even not get seen that day. Their office is stuck in the 90s. I went next door to Carrboro Family Vision and had much better luck.
I had a wonderful experience with the folks here. Everyone was kind and welcoming from the front desk to the doctor. I love that they're independent and not hospital-owned. This is getting increasingly rare.
From the moment I walked in this place I felt the level of negativity in this building starting with the FRONT DESK !!!! their so unfriendly they looked at me as if i wasn't supposed to be in their.....also I was asked to present my HEALTH CARD, when I gave them my VISION card which was on PAPER because I had not gotten my hard copy in the MAIL yet I did provide them what I was told to bring PRIOR , the FRONT DESK assumed I did not have insurance or as If I was presenting her with a FAKE paper ID CARD....all she had to do wa... read more
