Hoyt is a terrible doctor. Do not waste your time or money. Very rude, condescending, arrogant & unprofessional. Does not listen to your needs, does not want to explain things to you, will see you for 5 minutes & get you out the room. I had a tonsillectomy at 36, had a secondary hemorrhage and he shrugged his shoulders, called me a liar, belittled me & did not explain or comfort in anyway. HORRIBLE bedside manner!!!! This doctor saw my husband in the ER at Upper Chesapeake….put the scope down his throat and told him in a nasty way that he has cancer. My husband was in shock when told this and again in a nasty tone said to my husband..what did you think you had?? Do not use him at all!!!!!
Dr Hoyt was the on call ER doctor who instead of coming into the ER for a broken nose, said to come to the office first thing Monday. After half dozen or so calls to his office Monday, no one answered the phone until 4pm, only to be told he doesn't accept the insurance. None of that would've been an issue through the ER. Never met the man but my gut feeling was to be thankful we didn't have to!!
