very disappointed with Dr Hoffman's treatment of a family member. His Nurse Parcticitioner may be nice yet not qualified in my opinion to deal with complexities of neuro medication for the elderly. In my opinion I would look for another neurologist

I went to dr. Hoffman for severe hip and thigh pain that extended to my knees. He ordered a couple of scans which came back predominantly clear as well as pain meds. In the meantime I developed numbness and tingling as well as problems with my balance. He ordered no further tests and gave no diagnosis. When I pushed for answers he refused to look further, only assessed me via his np and then claimed it was actually psychiatric! He was patronizing and unwilling to work to find a real answer.

I went to Dr Hoffman about excruciating pain in the side of my head. He did not order any tests, just prescribed a topical Novocain ointment. I want to know why I have spells of pain that started out every 6 months 5 years ago, have grown more frequent and are now occurring twice a week. I was told, "We may never know why." No tests were ordered-a skin ointment was recommended for debilitating head pain. Dr Hoffman had a total lack of interest in making a proper diagnosis or in treating my pain.
