I had afib that went undetected for many years and once diagnosed, I tried medication for another five years. In 2012, I received the catheter ablation from Dr. Haines as the medication was no longer effective. I felt wonderful after I healed and have never had an occurrence of afib again. Additionally, the statement Dr. Haines made at my post op visit stuck with me for years until I finally did something about it. He said "Smoking will kill you.
