My wife visited this “specialist” today and came back with news of the visit that made me very disappointed and upset with the way the doctor talked to her. The nurses were great but the specialist had a very strong opinion and would not waiver. My wife has had severe medical neglect since she was about 8 when she first hurt her ankles and has been through countless doctors for opinions. The registration staff, the MA that roomed me, and the xray ladies were all very friendly - able to answer any questions I had and treated me respectfully. I do not feel the specialist, Dr. Blancho focused on or allowed me to vocalize my concerns or experiences regarding my injury or my request for a second opinion. He had an obvious unconscious bias towards obese individuals and led the introduction of my appointment with his concerns regarding my weight before educating me on my xray, having a full understanding of the inj... read more
Great bedside manner. Took time to explain everything in detail and spent time answering all of my questions. He did surgery on my ankle and am happy with the results.
Dr. Blancho has performed three surgeries on the same foot. The first was three years ago, and it has healed very well with minimal pain. I am currently 7 weeks post-op following a dual surgery on the same foot. My pain is very minimal, and it is healing quite well. He has performed surgery on 4 other people I know, all of which would recommend him again in a heartbeat. I trust him completely with my feet, I never thought I would walk normal before that first surgery.
He is a patient man, and very attentive.
