Dr. Elkins has always been friendly as well as professional. I have had several visits/procedures with Dr. Elkinsand every time I left with the feeling that he really cared about my health and well being.

I just experienced the single worst medical appointment in my life. Dr Elkins is abrasive, obtuse and disconnected from the individual ~ He had already figured out exactly what he was going to do regarding my visit without ever asking me "why" I was there. After being talked at and prescribed to I finally stopped him and made him listen to "why" I was there. I just had a consult with Dr. Elkins for my mother. I cannot say in words how horrible his bedside manner was. He was extremely rude, overbearing, uncaring and had absolutely no knowledge of the anesthesia involved in performing the procedure that my mother needed. As a doctor I would hope that he understood that is the whole person he is treating not just the procedure he is performing. It was clear to me that Dr Elkins does not have the knowledge required to safely provide patient care.

Dr Elkins listens to me when I share concerns. While he's professional and thorough, he's friendly, with good bedside manners. He's become a friend who remembers my name and is genuinely concerned for my health. He's been my trusted urologist for approx 15 years, and that's important as I'm an 80 year old man.
