June 2023 I had a CT-scan and they found a 2.5cm growth on my left kidney. I went to see Dr Kang and he clearly explained what it was and that his opinion was to have a partial robotic nephrectomy at some point in 2023. I went to get a second opinion from another urologist and they said the same. I chose to have the partial robotic nephrectomy in July with Dr Kang and I’m glad I did. Dr Kang has been the one that has helped my wife not once, but twice! She had been to other places prior to meeting him (in an emergency situation, thank goodness he was the one on call. He has been wonderful). Both times that she was having serious problems, he is the one who took care of her and listened and acted. I can honestly say she is alive and healthy today because of him.
I had a HORRIBLE experience with Dr Kang and the staff at Urology Specialists Monroe. I had just been told I had kidney stones and was in a world of pain. I went to see Dr. Kang and he did literally nothing to help me understand my situation. The only thing he said was “Want to get them out? We have an opening for surgery on Friday.” That was it.
