Dr. Rubin is the worst doctor I have EVER had. He cancels appointments with only hours notice. He doesn't return calls. He doesn't listen to his patients needs. Even though I have been using an Abuterol inhaler for years, he refuses to refill my prescription for it and instead insists I use a steroid-based inhaler that costs over twice as much. Despite his very polite and attentive demeanor, he has allowed me to suffer in severe pain for six months since taking over for my previous Kaiser doctor who also did nothing. After talking at length about my medical history, he said he would help me but has done nothing. Basically, he lied. My issue is chronic pain for over 30 years. I had been in pain management for the previous eight years, and all I needed was a referral to an actual pain management doctor.
