He is patient, instills confidence, and makes you feel that he really cares about you and your problem. You never have to wait. Your appointment is always on time.
Dr Barnes is a wonderful family doc. He takes his time and really listens to concerns. He and his staff are warm and caring. Very little time spent in the waiting room before seeing him. He is everything I could want in a doctor.
Dr. Barnes is everything you'd want in your primary care physician. He listens and tries to get to the core of your concern. He takes everything you say seriously in order to see the whole picture. I feel very confident being in his care. My wife has a number of conditions that he's able to separate and address separately and as a whole. He has her full confidence as well.
Had little to no compassion for me as a patient, did as little as possible to help me through very difficult times. Removed as a patient without being asked or even told, after more than 5+ years of being his patient. For your own safety please stay away and keep looking for a more caring and engaged physician.
First time visit. Dr. Barnes and his staff were welcoming and caring. I did not have to wait more than 5 minutes to see the Doctor. He understood my problem immediately. I left with a prescription which we agreed was the best solution at this time and I have a followup appt. in 8 weeks to report back to him.
Always willing to listen. Explains things so those of us without a medical degree can understand them. He takes his time and makes sure he addresses all of your concerns. I would recommend Dr. Barnes to everyone!
If you have concerns about how services are coded and billed to insurance, steer clear. Routine work--blood tests, etc.--which should be covered as in-office, diagnostic services--are actually billed as *outpatient* services because they send the work to Wood County Hospital. So you're actually being billed for being *in* an outpatient setting. I spent a long time disputing a bill/coding error, only to be told “we’re not resubmitting it.” This unethical, misleading behavior is disappointing.
Dr. Barnes is one the best doctors my family has ever had. He is down to earth and takes his time with you. I have never felt rushed or that I did not have all my questions answered. He is excellent with my 3 year old, we've been seeing him since he was born. Also I like that the office has a pre appointment calling system to remind you of your appointment. Best Doctor of a lifetime...
I'm struggling with a review for this office: I have thought I was getting good care, but maybe not. Let's see: the nurse/Dr. does not sit at eye level to give the patient a sense of "they are listening to me". They seem to be in a hurry to move on to whatever is next, as opposed to letting the patient know they have time for them. Sensitivity may be weak to missing. .I've never been asked: what matters most to you (as the patient)? Summary: Lacking in a conveyed sense of personal caring.
