Dr. Banayan takes a very healthy approach to psychiatry and medication as a way to aide folks on their personal mental health journeys. He understands that medication is not necessarily a "cure" and will help you individually to find the path that works best for you. Very friendly and empathetic individual!
I've had an excellent experience with David. In addition to helping monitor my medication, he checked in on personal matters as well, making sure that I was living an emotionally healthy life. I had been dealing with some very difficult issues at the time on top of the problems caused by my medical condition, so the check-ins were integral. After years of struggling with my mental health, I was able to finally stabilize, and David played a huge part in that.
He deserves 0 stars! He did experimental ECT on my husband who had auto immune encephelitis and no psych history to allow his students to practice on a man who was comatose and had even violated the Power of Healthcare on his chart. Rush University does not even post on their internet site they even offer ECT treatments. Highly illegal and unethical to say the least! Don't let your loved ones be a lab experiment!
