Doctor is personable and knowledgeable, explained the condition, and was pleasant. My experiences with his office staff-poor. I requested a copy of office visit paperwork mailed or faxed to me, and still have not received it after multiple requests. I requested a copy of office visit paperwork mailed or faxed to me, and still have not received it after multiple requests. Wouldn't give office manager name. Records office has not answered multiple requests. I've just switched doctors.

Dr Avino has been very accessible and answers all questions directly and respectfully. I have had 2 occasions to be evaluated by him and tested, 5 yrs apart.

Dr. Avino ignored my husband's symptoms of chest tightness and shortness of breath following his bypass surgery, saying the symptoms were not "heart related" and that my husband should "lose his gut" and increase his walking. My husband proceeded to lose about 20 pounds but continued to have chest tightness and shortness of breath. We then went to a new cardiologist who did an angiogram on my husband the next day. Turns out two of my husband's bypasses had failed, Stay away from Dr.. Avino!

I had an appointment at 7:30 a.m. and I sat until 8:31 a.m. and then I walked out because while I set there I listened to him see 4 other patients. So I gathered from that I was not going to see him. I am having palpitations and shortness of breath and light headed. So if he is a heart doctor then he is a heartless one.

he is a wonderful doctor, who cares about each patient. You can always talk to him, and he answers your questions. he makes you feel so at ease, with every visit. he makes me laugh and we have a great time together. He is one very rare and caring doctor. I am blessed to have found him!

Visited after surviving an aortic dissection . Staff and Dr. had not read medical info. sent by referring heart surgeon. Seemed to not know what to do with me due to low survival rate of patients that had suffered a torn aorta . Sub- par communication skills . Told me at 3rd 6 month appt. how far I should be able to walk by that date . Never furnished any rehab. info. before that date . Had an IV fall out after a not so competent nurse had prepped me for a stress test. Went elsewhere .
