Gotta love Paula! I absolutely adore Paula Dean and think she is a hoot! I have her cookbooks and enjoy most of her recipes even though I only eat them occasionally as they tend to be a little on the 'heavy' side. :) As such, I HAD to visit The Lady & Sons in Savannah to try Miss Dean's cooking and was not disapointed. The place is BUSY but worth it. My husband and I did the buffet even though normally we avoid them as we don't have huge appetites. Love this place! I had the luck of visiting the "old" Lady and Sons eatery a few years ago when Paula Deen was still clearing tables and greeting guests. This is the newer, larger restaurant-and Paula isn't around as much with her new found Food Network fame-but, the food is the same, wonderful assortment I remembered.
