I absolutely can't believe this guy is a neurosurgeon. Despite dozens of medical journals and articles and Sunil Patels article on pineal gland cyst specifically, he refused to help me. Point blank refused. I have a 1.3 by 1.5 cm pineal gland cyst that is causing headaches, excessive sleepiness, insomnia, vertigo, confusion, words slurring, dizziness. I had lost my job over the sleeping before. Every single article and every single journal has said when it becomes symptomatic or causes hydrocephalus, that is when neurosurgeo... read more

I recently saw Dr. Sun about an issue with my pituitary gland. He did an excellent job of explaining the problem and a plan of action to address the issue. He broke it down into terms that were very easy for my wife and I to understand. We could not have been more pleased. Highly recommended.

I have a Grade 2 meningioma. Was told he didn’t know why I waisted my time seeing other people first when I came to him as a second opinion. He acted as if since I wasn’t dying as a result of my tumor I was wasting his time. His extract words were “you have a brain tumor, so what, dealt with it”. I was in tears. Major God Complex. Would never ever go back or recc him to anyone. He may be skilled but his lack of empathy and compassion for patients says a lot.

Excellent experience with Dr. Sun. Highly recommend him. Diagnosed with brain tumors after a blackout caused a car accident, I saw several other neurosurgeons before he was recommended to me. He took the time to discuss and illustrate what was happening to my brain and tumors and was the only doctor to do that. I had complete faith in his abilities and was rewarded by a successful surgery with no serious problems afterwards. I am so grateful he was recommended to me.

I would not recommend Dr. Sun to anyone. I had heard he was a good spine surgeon but when my brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor we went to him. He told us in that first visit he could t do surgery due to the risk of damaging my brother’s ability to speak and walk. He did not mention that there could be a surgeon who could do it. Soon after based on my research I found a group of neurosurgeons who communicated with us and were able to complete and awake surgery which allowed them to avoid damaging critical areas of the ... read more

An absolutely amazing doctor. He is smart and knows what he is doing. He spends time with his patients and their families and talks in a manner that you can understand. I also liked that he did not feed into anyone's false hope. He gave it to us straight. He is very confident and I like that about him. I will not go to any other hospital other than Norton Brownsboro. They are all amazing there.

Very rude and doesn't care about anyone. Mocks his patients and is very disrespectful . What makes doctors like this? He would not listen to me at all. And when I tried to tell him my symptoms he would talk over me and tell me he didn't care about that!! The most unprofessional and rude doctor I have ever met!!! Will not be back to see him?!
