Dr. Heimansohn was very patient. He answered all my questions. His concern and compassion made me feel at ease
I looked at three different heart surgeons and chose Dr. Heimansohn. Coming from Valparaiso In I felt he was my best option.My surgery was in July of 2019. I had a quadruple bypass, He and his team were amazing and did a fabulous job . I play tennis three days a week for several hours at a time, and I am active, I’m having a great life and I am thankful to God, St. Vincent, and this great surgeon.

Dr Heimansohn performed a mitral valve repair on me 20 years ago. He gave me an entire new lease on life! The repair was impeccable. PERFECTION. Only a 4inch incision. No breaking of bones. He went in from the other side. He is a MASTER surgeon. You will find NO OTHER like him or better than him in the nation. I am going strong today at age 75 because of him! Thank you so much, Dr Heimansohn for my life.

Dr. Heimansohn was confident and articulate and talked with me terms I could understand. He put my heart and mind at ease and I felt assured he would help me. He repaired my valve and my outcome is amazing. I am so blessed. His nurse and staff are also great.
Dr Heimansohn and his staff is are truly in a league of their own. I had an aortic root replacement in 2021 done by Dr Heimansohn. I have never had anyone explain ,inform and made me more comfortable than Jenica, the ladies in the operating room and the recovery floor. Knowledgeable, experienced MD/CV surgeon with a compassionate, bedside manner. Would not go anywhere else. However I would like to have had the radiologist final report of my Chest CT with Dr. Heimansohn at my F/U visit to discuss with me.
Everybody in the office was nice, helpful and made me feel calm and comfortable. Dr Heimensohn was nice, professional, and explained everything well. He definitely made me feel secure about having surgery.

I had cardiomyopathy for 10 years and meds were no longer working. Dr Heimansohn gave me a new heart and I am a different person. That was 26 years ago and still going strong. He saved my life and I am forever grateful.
