Initially replaced my entire transmission with a refurbished transmission. The next day my AC goes out and I take my car into another shop to have it looked at. These "mechanics" at Dave's didn't even connect the hoses back properly when putting everything back together, so there was an o-ring in the line that caused my AC to go out--$250 extra dollars spent because they didn't do their job correctly. I had Daves transmission rebuild my transmission in my 94 s10 pickup. Paid $1500 dollars Had to cut exhaust broke studs off put old donuts in then drilled three holes put wrong bolts in without springs. left cotter pin off shifter linkege put three washers and wrong nut on transmission mount. I will never go back there again. I had to buy a new manifold that cost $93.00 Would only pay half $42.00 also welded a stud on manifold and messed the threads up. Stay away from this shop

They replaced my manual transmission with a used transmission. Told them to call if the clutch was bad while they were in there. Called and recommended a new clutch, pressure plate and bearing. Told them I didn't need to look at the old one, since it had 120k miles on it. No extra charge for the new clutch labor. That was 5 years ago and it is still running strong.

Very Bad Experience – I chose this shop based on the strength of their reviews, their payment plan options, the fact that they completely rebuild instead of just patch the transmission and their warranty. When I dropped off the car I did not get any payment plan or warranty paperwork, despite requesting it. I was told that these documents would be available when I picked up the vehicle. Fast service Great People – While on a business trip, I had a light come on showing to check my transmission and not having any problems I thought it was just a fluke. When I reset everything and the light came on again I decided to have it looked at in Columbia, SC. Great prices and great guys!!! – Dave's highly recommended to me by a friend. I took my car into Dave's and they looked at it right away. They told me right away what the problem was and gave me a great price. The guys down there did a great job and had my car fixed in time. I would recommended these guys to anyone with a transmission problem
