Let me start with the bad news first.  No one ever answered the business phone number, Even though I called Them for months.  When they tell you for best results to email, They mean it.  I found emailing them was the only way to get service.  What I emailed them, The process began, although, in the beginning, it took several emails to get a response.  Once the claim process got started, they are very professional, and helpful.  The claim takes about 3 to 4 months to process.  This is not the fault of Darryl Ellis investigati... read more

I would highly recommend Darryl Ellis Investigations and especially Stepanie Dickson. She walked me through all that was required to file the claim and always promptly responded to me emails. There were many contacts as this claim with the State of Florida was difficult due to the circumstances.

This agency is horribly unethical! They have been told SEVERAL times, over the past couple of years to STOP CONTACTING my family and me. They were supposed to "close the case" after 30 days, and yet the mailers and text messages continue. Filed 2 complaints with the BBB and now I need to have my attorney take action. They have caused us unnecessary grief, continually reminding us of our loss, JUST TO MAKE A BUCK. THEY DO NOT DESERVE YOUR TIME OR BUSINESS. I was contacted by Darryl Ellis Investigations regarding money from a previous homeowners insurance policy I had. I had received numerous letters from other investigators about money that was apparently owed to me but he personally called me and explained what was going on. I just received a check for over $3,000.00 that was unexpected and much needed! I can't thank them enough. Excellent experience with DEI. Got a letter and knew there was some money available but the work I would have to go through to get it was enormous. DEI did all the legwork. All I had to do was get my kids to sign paperwork and we got checks for them in a few weeks. Highly recommended!

Initially, I threw out the envelopes that were letting me know that I may have money owed to me. Eventually, I emailed Darryl Ellis Investigations and asked if they were going to ask for my Social Security number, and when they said that they would indeed not ask for it, I decided to fill out their questionnaire and send them proof of my driver license.
