We recently had a duct cleaning done as I have asthma, allergies and my better half was tired of dusting. I called Darrick Davidson Mechanical as I saw him on CHCH morning live. I had some renovations done and we have pets so I decided to get our duck-work cleaned. I called and spoke with Jen who booked the appointment. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. Jayson showed up right on time. Actually rolled out the red carpet (as Jen explained would happen) throughout my home and also put booties on over his shoes. Darrick Davidson claimed the entire outside AC condenser unit had to be replaced at a cost of up to $14,890.81. Someone else fixed it by replacing a capacitor for $384.20. When I suggested to Darrick Davidson they should at least refund their $146.89 diagnostic fee after this treatment, they didn't respond. Update 2: Sadly, I have reduced my rating because once again with the season change our American Standard S9X product is failing us. In the fall we were forced to change 3 major parts. The gas valve, the circuit board, and I forget the third. Not sure if it was the exhaust fan. I cannot remember and honestly just tired with these issues. There have been probably 4 or 5 repair visits for one thing or another. It's pathetic that a what 5 year old system is failing to call for AC. I am at a loss.
