I work at The Siuslaw News and have recently covered a couple of stories at the lake. I stopped in for Lunch yesterday and had a GREAT Burger! Rich and Lori are awesome and the vibe was suitably mellow, music good,folks friendly and the time well spent. Make the short trip from Florence in a few minutes for a nice time, just off the beaten track.

I met Rich, Lori when they had just bought the place. They are some of the nicest people I know. They've poured a ton of work in to the place and it shows! Darlings is such a nice place to make home base if you are enjoying Siltcoos or all the fun places north and south of there. They'll make you feel like family and right at home. You would never even guess they're from Washington State and Cougar fans!! ;-) Go Ducks!

Just spent a great weekend at Darlings. The entire staff was outstanding. The owners are more than friendly, hardworking and keep the place clean and looking great. The food is great and the pizza is possibly the best I've ever had. Thanks for making us feel welcome. Looking forward to a return visit.
