Could not have found a better more understanding endocrinologist to figure out what was going on with my symptoms. She was patient, explained everything, and did not jump to conclusions but treated everything in a way to allow my body to adjust itself. She is one of the best doctors I have ever had. I am a transgender woman who was under the care of Darlene Paduano for 6 months. I might say that a practitioner who just focuses on numbers is a good thing, except that she routinely failed to even do this. My vitamin D levels were perfectly in-range with the dietary supplement I was taking and she instructed me to stop taking them because she felt that I should not take supplements to correct my levels. I am a transgender patient and was seeing Darlene Paduano for 2.5 months after starting hormone replacement therapy under her care and had a really terrible experience. She was extremely unprofessional and rude behind closed doors so her office staff couldn’t hear what was going on. My boyfriend was seeing Darlene Paduano for hormone replacement therapy as a transgender patient. He recently had a traumatic experience under her care, where she was unbelievably rude and unprofessional behind closed doors. She would not listen to any of his concerns whatsoever and only seemed to care about having control over his treatment. I would NOT recommend this practice to anyone else.
