So, thankful for this place and all the amazing people who make it possible. Especially thankful for Dawn of the West for always being there to help educate, counsel and guide me in my adventure of being owned by a Hound. Daphneyland is really the happiest place on earth for the rescue hounds and those of us who love them.

The love they have for Bassets is well worth the drive to find your best friend
They do amazing things with hounds that need help, often thousands of dollars of medical care and emotional rehabilitation. Dogs that arrive here are safe and cared for for life, regardless of their condition. Most find a forever home and the new families often return to keep in touch with the Daphneyland family. This organization has shown me what a dog rescue can do for the dogs and their families. It is an amazing and unique place.
As a Bassett hound lover - these people have a great "soft spot" in my heart for all they do.
They clearly make every attempt to care for and find appropriate homes for each of these hounds. Bassets are a great breed but they do have certain needs...totally worth it!
