Was referred to Dr Dao Nguyen to discuss if surgical removal of fairly stable NSCLC mass was a viable option at age 80. Dr Nguyen was very direct and informative as we viewed my PET scans together ... he felt that the risk/reward was not in our favor as it might be necessary to remove too much of my left lung. As skilled as he is known to be, he could not guarantee a better QUALITY OF LIFE, hence he was not willing to proceed... HIS HONESTY WAS GREATLY APPRECIATED !!!!!
Excellent surgeon, very knowledgeable, skilled and gifted. Highly recommend him.
