One of Dankmeyer's someones is getting in a little pool time! While it seems hotter than hot now, won't be long before this someone will be on skis again. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, the dog days of summer ended August 11. The countdown to fall and football begins. Halloween is in 75 days. Thanksgiving is in 103 days. Christmas is in 131 days. 137 days to 2020!!! Happy weekend everyone!
Mark Treasure, Dankmeyer's Cumberland office clincian, shared this video with his coworkers today. He felt like it was a good message to share as we all work hard to reach our goals, both individually and professionally - making sure we complete the mission and don't give up when the finish line is in sight. Every prosthesis and orthosis we deliver is accomplished by the Dankmeyer team, clinical partners, patients and their support teams working together to cross that "finish line" and celebrate together!

We are excited to fit this finished C-brace next week! We sent out the test orthosis a couple of weeks ago and this is the final orthosis. The C-brace is unique because it uses a hydraulic knee joint to promote knee stability. The microprocessor-controlled hydraulic unit processes information from the sensors to control each phase of gait. We will post an update once we fit it!
