I am delighted to recommend Dr. Husted. I was in a lot of pain, unable to walk short distances after falling off a ladder. The thought crossed my mind that I may never return to normal as the pain I was experiencing was in my knees and hips upon walking, not my low back. Dr. Husted was my 2nd opinion and the only one who did an MRI to investigate what was really going on with me. After the MRI results and one spinal injection (painless and quick) I slept like a baby pain free.

I have had back, leg and hip pain. Do have diabetes and the epidural through your sugars off. Did talk to my diabetic Dr, and she took care of this issue. I am so happy to have gotten the shot. The pain level is so gone. I will go for another shot again when need. The shot is well worth it. I procrastinated for a long time. Never sgain. Dr hustled is great.

Dr. Husted performed a spinal fusion on my lower back in July 2018. He is a very skilled and knowledgeable surgeon and will answer any questions and concerns you may have. I am now 3+ months post-op and have experienced significant improvement during my recuperation period. On my final post-op appointment 11/2/18 Dr. Husted advised that full recovery may take up to a year. Considering I have experienced 75-80% improvement in the first 3 months i await additional improvement in the next 9.
Horrible, horrible, horrible! Doctor spent less than 4 minutes in the room. Did not explain the findings to me. Did not ask any questions. Just referred me to PT at his practice without explanation. This was after two appointments. I asked my chiropractor to obtain my records so that we would know what the issue was. The report was falsified as to what took place at the appointment. If you want a doctor that cares for patients this is not the place to go. Excecellent staff! Horrible doctor!

We always strive to provide the utmost professional expertise to our patients with a thorough diagnosis of their condition and answering any questions they may have. Our physicians recommend physical therapy as the first treatment choice for orthopaedic conditions, since it's the most conservative choice. We sincerely apologize for your frustration and encourage you to call (772) 403-2295 so that we can learn more about your experience and how we can better assist any concerns you have.
Dr. Husted is an excellent surgeon who I would recommend to anyone unwilling to suffer forever from back pain. Dr. Husted was able to keep me working for several years longer than I would have been able to without surgery, even though I suffer from “failed back syndrome.” Dr. Husted only uses surgery as the last possible step when every other treatment option has been exhausted. No one likes the thought of surgery but when it becomes necessary Dr.Husted is the doctor you can trust.
I had a SI Joint Fusion done by Dr. Husted and I must say the experience was top notch. This is the second surgery Dr. Husted has done for me, the first being after a car accident I had. Both times he was the best doctor I could have hoped for. He has taken care of me for the past several years and I highly recommend him to anyone that needs treatment for their back.
Maybe he should pay more attention to the patients symptoms instead of chatting to the nurses about his awesome gaudy shoes. It was said that the patient needs to request medication- since when is the patient expected to diagnose and create a treatment plan? Isn’t that what a medical degree is for? Or is it just so you can get more expensive shoes while the patient suffers? Disappointment doesn’t cover how I feel. I learned more about my back pain from google than this clown.

I had to stop Dr. Husted who had one foot out the door after spending 2 minutes with me at a new pt appt, to ask him what had caused the issue I had come to see him for. He had only told me what he was going to prescribe for me, but not what caused it. His PA never called in the oral medication I was to begin taking the following morning (after an injection at the office). I had to make 5 calls to the answering service between Fri evening and Sat afternoon to get the Rx filled.

I had broken L-4 in my spine. Dr. Husted said he would fix it without surgery. I was put on a chiropractic type table where your head goes into a hole on one side of the table. I think he gave me some local anesthetic in the back. I then started to hear noises similar to a tin drum band. I really don't know what they were doing back there but Dr. Husted told me they would be putting bone cement into the bone and after it set for a few minutes, it would become permanent. Terrible pain!
