Dr.Epstein was my mom's PCP for a few years. She was happy with him up until last year. They became very money hungry. The last straw was the doctor could not find the time to call my mom's insurance, for 2 weeks, to answer a few questions, as a last step in them approving her diabetes meds. Her sugar has been through the roof, she has been feeling horrible on the new drugs. She is friendly, a nice person, but very rough. The front desk is low-energy, passive. The nursing staff seems better.
Office on two occasions got the wrong chart. Once I was not given my instructions on discharge. When I tried to talk to Dr. Wong about it he said,"So I don't have a good staff, you gained weight instead of losing." I did but that only hurts me. WRONG PATIENT WRONG CHART can hurt many! Gave one star for knowledge for his indifference not medical ability.
Pleasant and informative visits and thorough exams. Dr. Daniel Lowe is personable, knowledgeable, has an excellent bedside manner. He paid attention to my concerns and patiently answered my list of questions in such detail that I learned something new in the process. I never felt hurried or rushed. I'm currently being treated by Dr. Gejerman at hackensack hospital. He is superb! He is beyond caring, knowledgable, and he has ensured that he has surrounded himself with the best staff possible. In addition to being an outstanding, doctor and a leader in his field, he is also an excellent communicator and a devoted practitioner. He gives out his cell phone number to his patients- which is virtually unheard of. Dr. Epstein is 5 stars. However, his front staff is horrible. She is mean, talks down to you, and when she doesn't understand what you're trying to say- just blabs: WHAT?!? Unprofessional to the extreme. Working in a what should supposedly be a caring and nurturing environment, she does just the opposite. It's like she's always ready to bite your head off.
Office staff and nurses extremely unprofessional to the point of being down right rude
I cannot say enough about Dr Lowe. I went to him after another doctor left me with a 4cm stone in my kidney. I had a stent in for almost a year. Dr. Lowe took such great care to explain everything, and he even is aware of natural ways to help. His bedside manner is beyond words...he really cares! When I had to go to surgery, I felt such a peace by his friendly face, and his extensive knowledge. I cannot say enough about him. I've moved, and I really miss him and his friendly office!
