EXTREMELY disappointed in the compassion of my dad’s care. My dad has been seeing Dr. Menke’s for several years (first diagnosed with MG and now has MSA). There is no cure for either of these diseases and he has rapidly gotten worse. It takes a little under an hour to get to his office and my mom was willing to make that drive the first couple years he has been seeing him. Love Dr. Menkes, So helpful to my situation, never rushed my appointments, made me feel important and like my situation mattered. Explained things to me in a way that I could understand and just overall a great doctor.
Be weary of going to this doctor and thoroughly do your research on what he specializes in before going to him with complicated issues. I saw this doctor 3 and a half years ago at the age of 23, half-way to paralysis, lost all the fat and muscle on my body, and MANY other crazy symptoms. My PCP and I thought it was MS since it runs on both sides of my family. Dr. Menkes claimed it was psychosomatic, put incorrect things in my charts and notes.
