I rarely write reviews about a provider but my experience with this orthopedic doctor was so disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others. As both a nurse and a patient, I have a strong understanding of what professional, compassionate medical care should look like—and unfortunately, this provider demonstrated none of it. Back in Dec. 2019 Dr. Elkin did ACL reconstruction and left be without walking for 3 years. They kept say all I needed was therapy because of the surgery my knee would lock for several days and they would simply say it was my imagination, neither Dr.Elkin or my therapist listen, so I decided go to Stayton Hospital and had another surgeon go in and found multiple things wrong with me. One was so simple a flap of meniscus was left flapping and would get caught between my knee and that was causing the locking. Lost 3 years off ... read more
