Dr. Donovan is a funny, charming person and a great doctor--but he is also the one who put things in simple terms that made me change my lifestyle and way of thinking. On my first visit 3 years ago when I was very sick, he told me "you may live to walk down the aisle at your daughter's wedding, but you probably won't live to see any grandchildren." Dr. Donovan was personable but professional. He listened to my concern, answered my questions, and explained his plan for diagnostic testing. The staff in the Boerne office was kind and considerate, as well as organized and efficient.
Dr. Donovan is very knowledgeable and experienced, as well as outgoing and friendly with a great sense of humor. It’s always great to see him.
My latest visit was a followup to surgery in late spring 2019. Dr Daniel Donovan has served as my cardiologist for seven years previously, and has provided excellent guidance and displayed exceptional expertise in his treatment protocol for my needs.
An excellent and exceptionally gifted Cardiologist. Diagnosed my rare cardiac condition when many previous Cardiologists failed to do so . My Heart diagnoses were even missed by a Clevland Clinic Cardiologist. Dr Donovan was determined to find the cause of my Cardiac symptoms and he worked relentlessly to do so successfully. I am extremely grateful to this brilliant cardiologist doctor. He saved my life. I am a physician myself and perhaps can appreciate Dr Donovan’s great clinical acumen in an objective manner.
Dr. Donovan has always been a top-notch Cardiologist in caring for our family members. He is skillful, knowledgeable, and is up to date on the best treatments for cardiology needs. More important, he is warm, friendly, and kind. He treats his patients like family. We would recommend him without hesitation.

I was referred to Dr. Daniel Donovan by the cardiologist in Del Rio, TX who was not able to place a stent at the time of the cardiac cath. I met Dr. Donovan with my first visit and he was very down to earth and forthcoming with answers. He did my cardiac cath in March 2019 for the OTC in the circumflex branch. It was a long procedure but he did not give up despite the different wires he used.
