Dr. Weissbluth, and his team of providers, nurses, and staff are incredible. We have been patients for 10 years now. My work has taken me and my family all over the US. As a healthcare professional myself--I can tell you that I have never seen patient centered healthcare like this practice. The tailored approach to care and the accessibility. They will schedule an appointment a month in advance and then cancel the appointment a day before. Then they will throw a nurse practitioner at you to save money on their end instead of scheduling you with an actual doctor. Your staff needs to let the people know that you are too busy to accept new patients.
My experience was poor. I felt like I was being forced to talk about sleep because he wanted to push a book he wrote. I never even spoke about sleep issues, yet all roads led back to him talking about putting my child to bed at 5pm. I get off of work at 5:30... None of my questions were answered, and no talk of milestones. However, I do know he has a best selling book, that he is pretty passionate about.
My wife and I met Dr Dan on the second day of our sons life and have been with him and his team ever since. He coached us through our son's sleeping which basically saved my wife's sanity. And I trust him completely with our son's care. He put together a great group of people in his office. I recommend Dr. Dan to all the soon to be parents that I meet.
After going to a pediatric center that was a mess and actually scary we found Dr. Weissbluth. The difference was night and day. His office is beautiful. The staff is friendly. Our waits are minimal. The office has a ton of resources, and we feel genuinely safe and cared for.
