I had a very positive experience with Dr. Macarenas and the team at New England Baptist. Dr. Mascarenhas is a skilled surgeon, and I feel it is important to choose a surgeon who is aware of the latest technological advances, and who has extensive training in the new techniques. Dr. Mascarenhas also has a great personality. I felt he genuinely cared about me.
Dr. Mascarenhas is wonderful, very caring and a true professional. I have no qualms and trust him.

I fell on black ice and fractured my hip last January. I spent 27 hours in an ER before being taken by ambulance to NE Baptist, and I was so fortunate that the surgeon on call that night was Dr. Mascarenhas. I have nothing but high praise for him and the care I received since he ended up doing a total hip replacement. Dr. Mascarenhas is kind, thoughtful, and explains what he is doing clearly. He is an excellent surgeon; I was in very good hands. Highly recommend him for hip and knee issues.
